The WT condems others for saying the "end is near" yet feels free to announce it themselves! They are so hypocritical. Reminds me of..."the sky is falling, the sky is falling".

Maybe ask where the BIBLE says a person need to be in association with the Watchtower to have salvation? Or how is it JW's say they don't take blood, they pour it out on the ground so to speak, yet can take fractions, that come from many litres of stored blood? Where does the BIBLE make the distinction?

Parents congregation disbanding
by New Worldly Translation inmy parents told me that the do has advised the cong that it's going to close due to there not being enough publishers in it (why didn't he just say people .
it is a very small cong with about 35 people in it but they have enough elders and everyone was happy being in it.
apart from being dubs they actually are a genuinely nice bunch of people and i feel a bit sorry for them having to get split up against their wishes.. the hall is split into two congs, with the other half having about 140 publishers, and i asked why they didn't just ask some from the other half to support theirs.

JW books for sale, hire or distribution

We got rid of all but 1 copy of each, for our references. I have found, as others have commented, that the CDROM doesn't necessarily say the same thing as the actual books, magazines etc. Even the bound volumes aren't always the same!
I have a good idea for the old magazines. We do a lot of traveling and wouldn't it be great to leave old mags with a note attached to see this site, WT research or whatever, maybe asking about the 607 issue, salvation through the WT, or the pedophile issue? Leaving them at gas station rest rooms or interstate rest areas? I used to leave the mags. Wish I'd kept the old ones now, I'd put them to good use!

If and when these "changes" do happen, I think most of the r&f will do a "little side-step". They'll put the former beliefs to the side and move on with "new light". I think the term is "double-think". They will bury the old deep inside. Hopefully, someday, they will realize what is really going on and really ask for answers.

Hello and welcome! Yes, I'm 59 and my husband 63 and we just came out nearly 5 years ago. Had haunting questions for years but figured Jehovah would straighten things out in the future. The freedom that true Christianity gives is awesome, using your God given brain for what it was made for. Read a saying the other day and it's most fitting, "extraordinary beliefs require extraordinary evidence". The beliefs of the WT are truly extraordinary and there isn't any extraordinary evidence to uphold and support them. Again, glad to have you here. Enjoy your stay!
